Love Letters to The City Recap: So Much Love in San Francisco

Man, that was fun!

On Saturday, we kicked off Season 3 of Storied: SF with an art opening, poetry reading, and live performance by young Bay Area rockers. The event was sponsored by Cheese Plus, who provided trays of delicious cheese, fruits, and meats, and The Jug Shop, who poured big-ass bottles of red and white wine. It was hosted by the rad folks at Babylon Burning/63 Bluxome Street Gallery (including S1E47 storyteller Mike Lynch).

Scroll through the slideshow below to get a glimpse of the fun.

The lineup included two powerful, inspiring poets and our favorite average-age-19 band:

Over in the gallery next to the screen-printing shop, Michelle's solo show "Love Letters to the City" will be up through Valentine's Day. The gallery's hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please stop by, check out the photos and slideshow, write your own love letter on our special stationery, and "post it" in the mailbox. We got quite a few letters Saturday, which really warms our hearts.

Thanks to all who participated and came out to celebrate San Francisco with us.

And now that Season 3 is officially started, here's to the next 48 weeks of bringing you some of the best of what this city has to offer. See you online and offline, we hope!

xoxo
